What’s New

The sun is shining, so break out your patio furniture, get out the charcoal or propane for the grill, and stock the fridge with beverages.  It’s time to start impressing friends and family with those grilling and salad making skills. Let us help you along by recommending some salad dressing favourites, and some tips on marinating!

What’s New

We have the first of our 2013 southern oils arriving from Peru early next week! The first two to arrive are some beautiful early harvest oils that have been sweeping in international competitions.  Also, all 2012 southern hemisphere oils are on sale! We gotta make room for the new ones! purchase any southern 2012 oils, and get $2 off a small 200 ml bottle, $4 off a 375 ml bottle, and $6 off the large 750 ml bottle. Also, don’t forget shipping is up and running on our website!  So feel free to order for shipping or for pick up online!

Featured Product

The Features of the month are Blood Orange Olive Oil and Espresso Dark Balsamic Vinegar.  Paired together they make for a wonderfully sweet salad, perfect for those espresso lovers.  Separately, the espresso is a great topping for desserts, like ice cream or pie.  Try marinating steaks, pork and lamb, and don’t forget, it makes a killer jelly.  The Blood Orange is a huge house favorite.  It’s great for chicken, fish, and all things food related.

Featured Recipe

The recipe of the Month is our Jelly recipe that I have been telling everyone about for the past month. This recipe is intended for White Balsamic jelly, but can be used for darks as well.  I recommend reducing the sugar, or even try cutting it out all together for Dark Balsamic vinegar!  Try this recipe with Cranberry Pear or Apple, and make your own mulled cinnamon, cardamon, clove and nutmeg to change the flavour for the holiday season. Check out the recipe here.

Special

The special of the month is Milanese Gremolata Olive Oil and Peach White Balsamic Vinegar. Knock $2 off our oil and vinegar specials this month when bought in either our regular 375 ml size bottle, or our 750 ml size bottle.
